This girl who sits next to me in class has suck natural, flawless looking makeup. On the other hand, whenever I put on makeup, it looks powdery, fake, masky, pores show through, thick. How can I use makeup so that it will look like hers?........could it be that she uses mac and i use maybelline? How to get natural looking makeup?
Well i like natural makeup none of this thick cake as my mum says. For some suggestions:
1) apply non greasy moisturizer which will soften your skin and make the skin smooth and not make it flaky. wait for the moisturizer to seep into your skin then:
(2) Apply a primer.
Applying primer before your foundation will help set your makeup. It also creates a barrier between your skin and your cosmetics. Therefore the oils of your skin won't break up the makeup and cause creasing and fading.
(3) Use powder.
Use a powder puff or big brush to add a light dusting of translucent powder to your makeup. The powder will set your makeup and give you a flawless finish.
Remember to chose a colour that blends with your complexion otherwise it will look like you have alot of makeup on.
From my personal experience i use a compact power after i use moisturizer because it doesn't go all clumpy or thick and is easy to use.
but the type of makeup does/can make a difference. Maybelline is good quality makeup so is mac but it all depends on how you apply it. I hope these few tips help youThank youu
How to get natural looking makeup?
Hey,
First you would have to wash your skin with a good cleansing face wash then moisturize. Let that dry then do your concealer and rub that in well, next thing apply your foundation i dont wear foundation i just put some concealer all over my face and rub it in all over. Make sure there is no lines on the side of your face so just blend that in also make sure you do your neck. after that apply a wee bit of powder all over and then a tiny bit of blush, smile when you put your blusher on then put it on the bone that shows when you smile.
It really dosent matter what product you use, well i dont think it does.
I have like a natural collection foundation that i got for about 拢2 in boots and its great.
Hope this helps.

Well it sounds to me that youre just using to heavy of foundation:
Number one: bare minerals! its amazing its light weight it feels and looks completely natural and your skin looks great!
also mac: mineral wear.
if you want a cheeper one: Soft Matte Maybelliene foundation with a little bronser.
anything with mineral or light weight! you dont need all that cake! and for the healthy flow lookk for a good shimmer or bronser from mac (:
As you are a broke highschooler, I would highly recommend you get the free sample kit from faerie organic minerals. It is exactly what you are looking for. Their minerals are light, airy, good for the skin and leave that flawless skin with a dewy glow look. I am a professional makeup artist and I use it on all my clientele as I have to have perfection for photo shoots, weddings etc. They have something called faery glow highlighter which I LUV, it gives you that celebrity perfect looking glowy skin. You can't go worng with free samples. Check them out at their homepage at the bottom (here) http://www.faerieorganic.com
i would get neutral colours...nude colors...and pinky beige colours....and remember less is more...dont over do it with to many layers of product especially if u are trying to look natural.....u could also try applying your make-up with brushes and really blend the product into ur face....mix and match with what u have to create a natural look....
yes you have to change your make up for sure. I used maybeline before and after that i put it in the garbage is useless
to get her look you have to have other brands I usgest Max Factor this is what I am using
is perfect and is not expensive
physcians formula its all natural mineral make up like 10 bucks i love it. I have used everything. this is the only stuff besides expensive mineral makeup that works. I hope you like it
You must not be using the right make up for your skin.
I use Revlon new complexion foundation and its great! You should try it... and maybelline is a bit on the cheap side no offense ;)
Also remember to drink lots of water.
Thin line of eyeliner. Mascara. Concealer. Bare Minerals. Lipgloss.
Hope this helps, this is what i use
