How do I do more natural makeup?

People sometimes tell me that I do do too much makeup and it makes me look skanky, but I do not want someone to judge me off my makeup so I have been trying to do it lighter and more natural, but it doesnt look that pretty. I need some advise and I REALLY need some type of photo to look at so I can some ideas. PLEASE help.

10 points ;)How do I do more natural makeup?
simple changes in the products you use will make a big difference.

foundation: you probably use a heavy liquid foundation, maybe tone it down to a tinted moisturizer. i use a very light liquid foundation from mac, and i love it. then set it with a powder that matches your skin.

eyeliner: you maybe use a liquid? i dont know. but simply put on less, all you need is a thin line, just ';brush'; it on (still using the pencil or twist up kind would work best). thats what i do. a little on the bottom lash line looks good. then curl your lashes (curlers work best if you heat it with a hairdryer for a 5 seconds first) and put on a couple coats of non-clumpy mascara on top lashes only.

eyeshadow: go with a neutral color, or none at all.

blush: just a little if you like that look, i personally dont use any.

lips: i just use chapstick haha but stick to a shade of gloss or lipstick thats close to your lips. no lip liner.

i think the biggest things you could probably do are use a lighter foundation and less eyeliner.

Instead of loading on makeup, do more subtle things to look pretty.

Take care of your skin so that it will look shiny and clean, having perfect eyebrows is a way to look feminine without makeup,

curl eyelashes and wear clear mascara, and have really white teeth.

Wear a nice foundaton to smooth and even out your skin tone (try: CG smoothers), put a tiny drop of highlighting lotion over it for flawless skin (try: Clinique Highlighters in Natural) then wear a little bit of powder and dont use too much! (try: Physicians Formula or Bare Minerals)

As for eye makeup, a natural way t brighten your eyes is to put a tiny dot of eyeliner between each of your lash hairs.

Hope this helps, and if people critisize your makeup, they may just be jealous.
you should use tinted moisturizer instead of foundation, and a cream concealor instead of powder. also, you should have skin-toned eyeshadow, mascara, and bronzer to create that tan, relaxed, kind of effortless look. also, use nude lipstick/lipgloss, which is really in right now. also, you should prime and moisturize before you put on makeup so your makeup stays on throughout the day, because if you look good in the morning and not so good in the afternoon, people won't think you're quite so ';natural'; anymore.

hope i helped. good luck %26lt;333
this always works for me

i always get those makeup sponges and put concealer about my skin tone and apply it underneath my eyes, my cheek bones , and my pimple areas. but not too dark.

then i apply my mascra on lightly and sometimes a light layer of eyeliner. and also a very light layer of blush

that should work or ...
Go to the Mary Kay site. They've got a more natural look - %26amp; give step by step instructions. whether a liquid cream ,powder or mineral foundation - they give you a really natural look, only concealing your flaws %26amp; highlighting %26amp; bringing out your good natural contours.

You may take their advice %26amp; get different products to fill in.
well try some mineral makeup to cover up any imperfections and i guess just tone things down a little...

instead of hot pink eyeshadow try light pink..

instead of heavy black eyeliner try lighter brown..

you should watch that :)
try not to wear foundation.

concealer works good and only use it on the places you need it (blemishes, under eye circles)

a powder that mtahces your face to blend it in.

a little blush works good just to give your cheeks color.

mascara to make your eyes pop.

not too heavy on the eyeliner.

colored eyeliner goes good underneath the eye, or on the eyelid lining ther eyelashes.

and light eye shadow, depends on what your wearing.

just try not to go too bright or extravagent.

less is better in this case :)
